Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

Thank you for choosing OpenHost. These terms govern your use of our website and hosting services. By using the site or our services you agree to these terms.

For readability this document is written in one grammatical form but applies equally to everyone.

General

OpenHost provides web, application and related hosting services. These terms set out the legal relationship between OpenHost and you, whether you are an individual, company or registered business.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site or sent to the email on your account; continued use after a change means you accept it.

Eligibility & acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. Our services are intended for business and professional use.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the site or the services.

Account registration

Some services require an account. You must provide accurate details and keep your password confidential — you are responsible for all activity under your account.

We may refuse or cancel a registration that breaches these terms, contains knowingly false details, or where we reasonably consider it necessary.

Plans, pricing & payment

Prices shown are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken through our payment processor using a valid card or supported method.

We may change plan features, limits and prices. Changes to an existing subscription will be announced in advance on the site or by email.

Automatic renewal

Plans may renew automatically at the end of each term so your service is not interrupted. We will charge the agreed fee at renewal.

If payment is not received within fourteen (14) days of the renewal date, the service may be suspended and a notice sent. Data may be deleted seven (7) days after that notice.

Cancellation & refunds

  • You may request cancellation at any time from your account or by contacting us.
  • We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on core hosting plans: cancel within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of the hosting fee.
  • Refunds cover the core hosting fee only — not domains, add-ons or third-party licences.
  • Domain registrations and renewals are non-refundable.
  • After the money-back window, fees already paid for the current term are non-refundable.

Acceptable use

When using our services you agree not to:

  • Upload or transmit unlawful, fraudulent, infringing or malicious content, or malware of any kind.
  • Send spam or bulk/marketing email from the local mail server; mailboxes are for basic personal use only.
  • Use the service as a file, media, backup or download repository rather than for hosting websites and applications.
  • Consume server resources unreasonably or in a way that harms other customers on the same server.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

Prohibited content

Phishing, malware, cracked or unlicensed software, adult content, content that infringes intellectual property, and anything unlawful under the law of Israel, the European Union or the country where the data is hosted is not permitted.

Accounts hosting prohibited content, or that trigger an abuse report from the data centre, may be suspended or terminated immediately without prior notice, with a pro-rata credit where appropriate.

Hosting location & migrations

Our servers and your data are located in the European Union. We may move an account between servers at our discretion — including upgrades and migrations — and cannot guarantee that a hosted site will behave identically before and after such a move.

It is your responsibility to confirm that your site is compatible with our environment and to keep an independent, current backup.

Backups & data loss

We routinely back up our servers as a courtesy and at no extra charge, but backups are subject to technical limits and may be discontinued. Maintaining a working, up-to-date backup of your own content remains your responsibility.

We are not liable for loss of, or damage to, data, including any issue arising from a backup or restore.

Uptime

We target 99.9% availability. If your hosted content is unreachable for a continuous period of more than twenty-four (24) hours due to a fault on our side, you may request a credit of one month of the affected service.

This does not apply to announced maintenance. Requests must be made within 30 days of the event with supporting detail; third-party monitoring reports are not, on their own, conclusive evidence.

Intellectual property & takedown

The website, its design and content are owned by OpenHost or used under licence and may not be copied without our written consent.

If hosted content infringes your rights, email support@openhost.example with the details and we will act promptly, including notifying the customer and, where appropriate, removing the content.

Domains

Domain prices may change in line with the registrar we use, which is outside our control. Premium or specially-categorised domains may require an individual quote and cannot be registered, renewed or transferred at the standard price.

Limitation of liability

The services are provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, OpenHost is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or data.

Where liability is established, it is limited to the total fees you paid for the relevant service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify OpenHost and its team against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or of any law, or from content you host with us.

Force majeure

We are not responsible for delay or interruption caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including fire, flood, labour disputes, war or terrorism, pandemics, or failures of transport, communications or third-party suppliers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of the Tel Aviv / Central District shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Your data is hosted in the European Union as described above.
